Kelly Soliz Director of Assessment & Accountability

Wylie ISD is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Soliz as Director of Assessment & Accountability. She will assume duties from Dr. Andie Doty, who was recently named principal of Parker Junior High.

Soliz brings nearly 25 years of experience in education. She began her career as a social studies teacher in Ector County ISD, later serving as a teacher and technology facilitator in Mesquite ISD, before joining Wylie ISD in 2012.

She has served in several district-level roles, including Staff Development Coordinator, where she oversaw professional learning initiatives and coordinated major training events, and Coordinator of District Assessment, where she managed state and local testing programs and supported campuses with training, data analysis, and compliance. Soliz also previously served the district as a Learning Specialist for Social Studies (Grades 5-8).

Soliz holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas Permian Basin and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce.

In her role as Director of Assessment & Accountability, Soliz will lead the development, management, and analysis of the district’s assessment programs, ensure compliance with state and federal accountability requirements, and support the use of data to inform instruction, curriculum, and strategic planning.

As part of the district’s financial sustainability efforts, the staff development coordinator position will be absorbed as responsibilities are realigned.
